Good quality foundation training is one of the most important things you can give your puppy.
This is where they can acquire the critical life skills that dogs need to learn early on if they are to be able to cope in the big wide world.
Early socialisation for your puppy is one of the best ways to help your dog learn and adapt to new experiences.
Our 121 gundog puppy training sessions aim to set you up for success by teaching appropriate behaviour and responses to avoid problems in the future.
A thorough understanding of development and learning as well as breed specific tendencies and environmental influences will be brought into your tailor-made puppy sessions.
We will look at teaching your puppy to sit, lie down, come, walk on a lead, leave, settle and stay using treats, toys, clickers and games with the emphasis on an enjoyable experience for puppies and handlers in a relaxed atmosphere.
These sessions involve individual instruction from Jules on a one-to-one basis. In your session we can also cover a wide variety of topics such as:
- Proprioception/body awareness
- Equipment (leads, collars, treats, bedding, clicker, toys, etc)
- Health checks
- Rewards (food, fun and functional)
- Greeting behaviour
- How to socialise your puppy
- Fear and phobias
- Diet, treats and bones
